September Studio Update + Free September Desktop Calendar
Hi Art Friends.
September has arrived, which means apple (my fav fruit) season in Michigan has arrived! Here is your Free September Desktop Calendar. This month’s image is from a 5x7inch greeting card cover I made, it was an exploration and play in my favorite color blue.
August was a month of finishing the renovations. Flooring was laid, bedrooms were moved, and we repainted my new studio space. I started moved into it yesterday (Aug 31st)… I am hoping to finish putting it back together with in the next week. I have a few projects to finish up, plus a large commission based off of a smaller resin water pour I did in August for Huz, it will be my largest to date (yay). My husband created a boat stand for a student as a prize at the end of last school year (got to keep pandemic teaching interesting). I added resin to make it look like waves and a wake. The student loved it!
September means back to school in this house as well as volleyball season. I officiate (ref), Huz teaching and my son is in second grade. We took some time in August to go fishing (my sons newest obsession) and float down the river. I am optimistic that as we transition to fall, I will get back into a routine of creating. Stay tuned!
